Polzeath is situated where the Camel Estuary meets the Atlantic coast and is one of the most scenic areas of Cornwall. There are three beaches within 15 minutes walk of Crooksbury – one with Atlantic surf, another with secluded rockpools and a third with sheltered sand. Check out the surf here! The area offers a wide variety of pursuits for watersports lovers. Many more beaches and coves can be found in under an hour’s walk or a short drive.
As well as beaches there are the nearby villages and towns of Rock, Padstow, Port Isaac and Wadebridge. For walkers there is the South West Coast path and numerous inland routes. Cyclists can enjoy the traffic free Camel Trail from Padstow to the edge of Bodmin Moor.
Beyond the immediate area are the many attractions of Cornwall, ranging from the well known such as the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan to the hidden corners of Bodmin Moor and the many country pubs and tea rooms.
